Today, Lánre continues to go against the grain of his peers by writing songs with catchy heartfelt melodies set to a masterful blend of RnB, Electronic Dance, and Pop music.Photo Credit: Tim Caver

Insider Tips:

What can’t you leave Atlanta without seeing first?

“I would recommend visiting The King Center and the birth home of Martin Luther King Jr. on Auburn Ave. I remember being moved as a child when I visited these landmarks during my first trip to Atlanta, and that experience has stuck with me for the rest of my life. It’s such a moving and inspiring place to visit especially during the times we’re living in right now. It’s a stellar reminder of how far we’ve come and how much further we can go with the same conviction Dr. King had.”

VICTORY SANDWICH BAR

My favorite local bar has to be Victory Sandwich Bar off of the beltline and my favorite drink is their Jack and Coke slushie! Slushies were my favorite drinks as a child, so it brings me back to that with this tasty adult version.

BOTANICO

My current favorite restaurant is Botanico in Buckhead. It’s an authentic Mexican restaurant that has an amazing view of the city, and is a great place to go for happy hour drinks. They also have live DJs on the weekends which is a huge plus. My favorite dish has to be their beef bone marrow taco, get that with their ‘Mezcal Mule’ and thank me later!

FANTASYLAND RECORDS

I have to admit, I’m very new to record buying. The first record store I went to start my collection was Fantasyland Records in Buckhead. They have a huge collection of every genre you can think of, and the owners were really helpful for a newbie to record collecting! It’s also been in Atlanta since 1976 which is really cool.

TABERNACLE

I love seeing shows at the Tabernacle in Downtown Atlanta. I’ve seen everything from Dave Chappelle to EDM shows there, and each time was a unique experience. There’s something so unique about the old school theatre architecture that makes you feel like you’re a part of whatever show/performance you’re there for. I highly recommend going to a show here!

TRAP MUSIC MUSEUM

“The Trap Music Museum in West Atlanta, is one of the coolest places in the city to visit! It was created by T.I. himself, and it’s a great place to learn about Atlanta’s music history and how the trap music that started here has influenced the music industry to this day.”
